A parked car and a tree - a common situation on the street. But if the car is parked around the tree, with the tree growing out of the car, then we have a "tree-car" and thus a typical work by the Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan.
He sees the world with a grotesque kind of humour and designs his work as comical or tragicomical happenings of life. His work's main topic is the relationship between artist and society, which he expresses through parodied actions and installations.
