A house for pigeons, human beings and rats in the shape of an eyeball - visitors to EXPO 2000 will be able to watch the social life of the animals at an installation at the small forest in the north of the Green Area West.
The spherical house located on a slight elevation has four cross-shaped entrances. From a circular catwalk inside the rats can be observed in the lower section and the pigeons in the upper section. The "In Between" project was realised by the artists Rosemarie Trockel and Carsten Höller, who already designed a "House for Pigs and Humans" for the documenta X in Kassel.
